Hey--big developments at the Podcast!!!
Hello, folks!
Producer Tim Kretschmann here. We have a big announcement. Please sit down.
Yes, all of you. We've taken the plunge and http://www.policeonthescene.com/ is now officially the podcast website. We're still part of TKPN, but we now have an official site.
We are hoping to develop content outside being a repository of links regarding the podcast. We're open to suggestions, but we are looking at have links to law enforcement agencies among other things on the home page.
But, wait, there is more.
We'd like to give any of our law official types the opportunity to say hi to JD using the handy button over here to the right. If you have a microphone attached to your computer, follow the simple instructions and JD will have the sound file before you know it. This is also a great way to ask JD questions like "What does 10-8 mean?" "What is of higher rank--a captain or a detective?" or "What's the best burglar alarm for my home?"
Remember to check out our Frappr map as well. We'd love to know where you are listening from!

Police on the Scene is slowly becoming a phenom

Okay, folks. Just kidding. If you look closely at this sign, you'll see it is a phony. Going to www.churchsigngenerator.com, you can get your own phony church sign.
Always look at things with an eye toward fraud, and you won't be lured in. If you see something that looks phony, send it along to us (policeonthescene@yahoo.com) and we'll see if we can find something out about it.
Police on the Scene with a Crime Prevention Lean is a podcast will focus on crime prevention, scam alerts, safety tips and, to lighten the mood from time to time, stupid criminal stories.
